HOW TO CALCULATE MASS OF THE EARTH ?
In this post I am going to talk about how to calculate the mass of our earth.
We can calculate the mass of the earth in many ways, But in this post I am going to tell, a easiest way to calculate the mass of our earth.
Now start,
w=mg {w is weight of a substance.} {m is Mass of the substance.} {g is the gravitational acceleration.}
F=GMem/d^2 {Me is Mass of Earth.} {F is the force by which Earth attracts a substance to its center.} {d is the radius of the earth.}
hence,
w=F
or, mg= GMem/d^2
Or, g=GMe/d^2
Or, GMe/d^2=g
Or, GMe= gd^2
Or, Me = gd^2/G
Or, Me = 9.8 N/Kg * (6370000)^2 m^2 /6.67*10-11 Nm^2/Kg^2
Or, Me = 6 x 10^24 Kg.
So, The mass of the Earth is 6 x 10^24 Kg.
