NASA & USSR MOON MISSIONS
There are many missions related to moon. In this post I am going to talk about all the moon missions.
Since the development of science has been started, human's first target is to visit on the moon. Humans done many missions to the moon and got success.
NASA's Moon missions-----
⦁ Pioneer 0 : It is the first moon mission done by NASA. It is a orbiter mission to the moon But Pioneer 0 is unsuccessful.
⦁ Pioneer 4 : Pioneer 4 is a partial successful flyby mission launched by NASA. It was launched in March 3 of 1959.
In 1960s NASA launched many other moon missions. Some these

⦁ Pioneer P-30 : It was a orbiter mission but it was unsuccessful. It was launched in 25th September of 1960.
⦁ Ranger 3 : It was launched in 26th January of 1960. It was a impact and unsuccessful mission. Ranger 3, 4 and 5 are also unsuccessful.
⦁ Ranger 7 : It was a impact mission not a lander mission and it was successful. Ranger 7, took close-up pictures of the moon. It was launched in 28th July of 1964. Ranger 8 and 9 was also impact moon missions and it was successful.
⦁ Surveyor 1 : It was a lander mission and it was completely successful. It was the first successful lander mission launched by NASA from USA. It took a few pictures from the surface of the moon. It was launched in 30th May of 1966.
⦁ Lunar orbiter 1 : It was orbiter mission and it was successful. It was launched in 10th August of 1966.
⦁ Luna orbiter 2 : It was a orbiter mission launched by NASA and it was successful. It was launched in 6th November of 1966.
⦁ Luna orbiter 3 : It was also a orbiter mission but it was partial successful. It was launched in 5th February of 1967.
⦁ Surveyor 3 : It was a lander mission launched by NASA. It was successful and visited on the moon by Apollo 12 crew. It was launched in 17th April of 1967.
⦁ Luna orbiter 5 : It was a orbiter mission and it was successful. It was launched in 1st August of 1967.
⦁ Surveyor 5 : It was a lander mission and it was completely successful. It was launched in 8th September of 1967. Surveyor 6 and 7 also successful lander missions launched by NASA.
⦁ Apollo 8 : Humans orbited the moon using this mission. It was launched in 21st December of 1968. It was a very big and successful mission to NASA.
⦁ Apollo 10 : It was a successful orbiter mission launched by NASA. It was launched in 18th May of 1969.
⦁ Apollo 11 : It was a orbiter and sample returning mission. It was a big and very very successful moon mission for all the mankind. Using this mission first humans landed on the moon and took some samples from the moon. It was launched in 16th July of 1969. It was a big proudful mission to NASA. Apollo 12 was also like this. Apollo 12 was also a successful lander moon mission.
⦁ Apollo 14 : Apollo 12 was a lander mission and it was successful. This manned mission was launched in 31st January of 1971. Apollo 15 was also like this. Apollo 15 was launched in 26th July of 1971.
⦁ Apollo 16 : It was also a lander mission and it was successful. It was launched in 16th April of 1972. It was also a manned mission.
⦁ Apollo 17 : It was the final Apollo mission. First scientist went on the moon. it was also a manned mission and it was successful. It was launched in 7th December of 1972.

⦁ Luna 1 : Luna 1 is a partial successful mission launched by USSR. The launch date of the mission is 2nd January of 1959. It was a impact moon flyby mission.
⦁ Luna 2 : Luna 2 was a nice and successful mission of USSR. It was a impact mission. It was the first successful moon mission of NASA. It was the first spacecraft to impact the the surface of the moon. It was launched in 12th September of 1959.
⦁ Luna 3 : Luna 3 was a successful flyby mission. It took some nice pictures of the far side of the moon. The launch date of the mission is 4th October of 1959.
⦁ Luna 4 : Luna 4 was a lander mission launched by USSR but it was unsuccessful mission. It was launched in 2nd April of 1963.
⦁ Zond 3 : Zond 3 was a flyby moon mission. It was a successful moon flyby mission. It was launched in 18th July of 1965.
⦁ Luna 9 : Luna 9 is lander mission. It was the first landing in the moon by USSR. It also take a few pictures from the lunar surface. It was launched in 31st January of 1966.
⦁ Luna 10 : It was a orbiter mission but it was unsuccessful. It was launched in 31st January of 1966.
⦁ Luna 11 : Luan 11 was a orbiter mission and it was successful. It was launched in 24th August of 1966.
⦁ Luna 12 : Luna 12 was also a orbiter mission launched by USSR. It was a successful orbiter mission launched in Oct. 22 in 1966.
⦁ Luna 13 : Luna 13 was a successful lander mission launched by Soviet Unions. It was launched in 21st December Of 1966.
⦁ Luna 14 : Luna 14 was a successful orbiter mission launched by USSR. It was launched in 7th April of 1968.
⦁ Zond 5 : First living creatures were fly past to the moon. It was a big successful mission. It was launched in 15th September of 1968.
⦁ Zond 7 : It was a flyby mission launched by USSR. It was launched in 7th August of 1969.
⦁ Luna 16 : It was successful, first robot to took sample and returned to earth made and launched by USSR. It was launched in 12th September of 1970.
⦁ Zond 8 : It was a flyby moon mission and it was successful. It was launched in 20th October of 1970.
⦁ Luna 17 : Luna 17 was a lander mission launched by USSR and it was completely successful. It delivered the Lunkhod 1 rover to the surface of the moon. It was launched in 10th November of 1970.
⦁ Luna 19 : Luna 19 was a successful mission launched by USSR. It was a orbiter mission. It was launched in 28th September of 1971.
⦁ Luna 20 : Luna 20 was a orbiter and sample returning mission. Luna 20 was completely successful. It was launched in 21st February of 1971.
⦁ Luna 21 : Luna 21 was a orbiter mission and it was successful. It successfully delivered Lunkhod 2 rover to the surface of the moon. It was launched in 8th January of 1973. Luna 22 was also a orbiter mission and it was successful. Luna 22 was launched in 29th May of 1974.
